I believe the cars of today are superior to those of the past. In the past, cars were not as efficient as they are today. They were not as safe as they are today. When I was young, seat belts were not in use or consisted of a lap belt that would almost cut you in half in a collision. There were no air bags and some of the vehicles would blow up if hit from the rear. We get better milage with less polution than we did in the past. I feel that innovations in technology will allow us to use fewer resources with greater efficency and allow us to drive safer vehicles then before. You can't stop progress and I wouldn't if I could
