John Jacob Jingle Hiemer Schmidt ( Boston Massacre )

The boston massacre began when a group of rowdy colonists from Boston were grouped around a small, armed squad of British soldiers. There were high tensions between the two parties and the colonists showed their dislike by flinging snowballs at the troops. Even though the soldiers had extremely specific orders not to fire or engade the crowd, a slaughtering took place after a single soldier shot a man who hit him with a snowball which contained rocks. After the man took the shot, the rest of the troops opened fire thinking that they were given the order to open fire. During the trial of the troops and the captain of the soldiers, John Adams defended the British soldiers. He was defending law and order because the colonists had been yellin fire and also hurling snowballs at the troops. This case angered both side because civilians were killed on the colonists side and the British troops got off the hook without punishment. The British were angred because the trial that was held was unfair and unjust.
