Quinn the Eskimo (Daily Question especially for JH)

Where does the idea of "No Taxation without Representation" come from? In what ways did the colonists feel this right was being violated?

  1. It began as a slogan in 1763 until 1776 that summerized a grivence in the British Colonies. The ways that the colonists felt there right was being violated are that they belived that the lack of representation in British Parliment was a denial to their rights as Englishmen. They also thought that because of the denial of their rights that it was unconstitutional.-RR
