Harley

Health Care. Health Care. Health Care. I think that quite possibly there are a zillion different topics connecting Health Care to things that might not quite be entirely correct. I don't believe that by the sweat of my labor that I should have to pay taxes to support somebody else. I feel that my duty is to support those in my charge (I.E. my parents, my siblings, my family, and my husband). NOT THE MAN NEXT DOOR! (I.E. I don't believe in the public option on health care because I'm a capitalist and don't believe that the man who works his whole life for his success and his money should pay for somebody else!)

    Interesting point. It's a tough angle to argue against, because its more of a philosophy than stats and numbers. So, are you for health care reform at all? If so, to what extent. -QE

    I too feel the way you do about not paying for someone else's health care but we do not really have a choice since hospitals can not turn anyone away. They have to get the cost of these people's care someway or close and they pass the cost on to the people who can pay. It ends up costing you one way or the other. I guess they feel they just can not let someone die just because they can not pay for their own care. There has to be an answer somewhere because the cost of insurance and health care is getting so no one can afford it. Pretty soon no one will be able to pay then what do we do? It is driving many businesses out of business to pay for their employees and that is not the answer either. If you think of a good answer to this problem I would love to hear it. LL

    I also feel there should be limits that hospitals and doctors can charge for treatments. Right now they feel they can charge what ever they want and we have to pay it. I feel there should be an up front charge and they have to stick to it unless they talk it over with you. I know we feel that the sky is the limit for a loved one but I also feel they take advantage of our caring and use it to make theyselves lots and lots of money. There should be limits because they do not have the healthy competion that other serverses do. They have us over a barrel because we care about our loved ones and will do anything for them including getting in debt till we will work the rest of our lives and still not be able to pay. LL
